Fox Valley Opera and Moonlight Theatre are proud to present La Voix Humaine and The Telephone. Two short operas. Two very different love stories. This double bill pairs Francis Poulenc’s La Voix Humaine, an intimate, emotional opera about a woman on the last phone call of a relationship, with Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Telephone, a charming romantic comedy about a couple constantly interrupted by a phone.

Starring Julie Malecki as Elle, along with Lauren Sutherland as Lucy and Justin Bach as Ben, this evening moves from deeply moving to delightfully funny. It’s a perfect introduction to opera—no experience required!

This double-bill is directed by Kate Bishop, and conducted by J. MacArthur Willaert with piano accompaniment by Chiayi Lee.
